What RideRadar knows about you

Nothing about your searching. This site keeps no database of visitors: no saved searches, no history of the listings you opened, no profile assembled from either. A search goes to our API, comes back as results, and is not filed against a person.

Our servers keep ordinary request logs, and those include the IP address a request came from. We read them to find abuse, such as one address running thousands of searches an hour.

Accounts are run by Clerk. You can continue with Google, or type an email address and get a code. Clerk holds the account and sets a session cookie in your browser.

You can also set a password from the Security panel on your account page. Clerk holds that password, not us. The form is on our page, but what you type in it goes from your browser straight to Clerk. It never reaches a RideRadar server, and we hold no copy of it.

You can delete the account yourself from your account page. Deleting it removes the account and signs you out everywhere, and it is not reversible.

The site ships PostHog's analytics library, and it starts only when an analytics key is configured. As of the date above no key is set, so no page views, clicks or session recordings leave your browser. If we switch it on, this page changes on the same day.

Two small preferences live in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us: whether you chose light or dark, and the filter defaults you set on search. Clearing your site data clears both.

Listing photos load from the marketplace's own image servers. As a card scrolls into view your browser fetches its photo from them directly, and they see what any image host sees: your IP address, your browser, and that the request came from rideradar.com.au. They see which of their photos your browser asked for, not the search that produced them. Opening a listing takes you to their site, under their privacy policy.

Vercel hosts the site and serves every page. Clerk runs sign-in for anyone who has an account. The marketplaces serve their own listing photos, as above. Nothing else on this site talks to a third party from your browser.
